When Jabba went to trade a scientist for a pair of deadly creatures with the notably underhanded crime boss Gaar Suppoon, he took precautions to ensure Gaar would not double cross him, telling Gaar he had planted a bomb. This led Gaar to call in Imperial weapons expert Kosh Kurp. A series of double crosses ensued during the trade between the two crime lords, eventually leading to Jabba exposing his bomb and Kosh Kurp disarming it. Gaar believed he had the upper hand and planned to kill Jabba, until Jabba referred to Gaar by his old name, Sonopo Bomoor, a name that was all too familiar to Kosh Kurp, it was the name of the warlord who killed his family. Kosh Kurp moved in to kill Gaar, who in a panic fired a blaster at Kosh which richocheted off Kurp’s armor blowing Gaar’s head off. Kosh Kurp was disappointed Gaar had such a quick death, but under Jabba’s advice, seized control of Gaar’s criminal organization.
POWERS AND ABILITIES:
Kosh Kurp’s armor renders him nearly invulnerable, it is designed to protect him from point blank explosions, as well as blasters. Kosh Kurp is an expert in explosive devices and numerous other forms of weaponry, and is widely considered to be the best weapons expert in the galaxy.
