Ichihara is a student who attends the same university as Kimi no iru Machi’s protagonist, Haruto Kirishima. While he is the head of the college’s tennis club he seems to spend more time flirting with women and organizing mixers than taking part in any sort of sporting activity.
Haruto first meets him on his first day at Seijo university where Ichihara attempts(unsuccessfully) to induct him into the tennis club. Afterwards, Ichihara tends to involve a reluctant Haruto in his womanzing schemes. He also spends some time with Takashi, who he convinced to join the tennis club. While ichihara isn’t always enthusiastic to be around his junior, he does give him reasonable advice from time to time.
Ichihara, who oftens goes by the nickname “Icchi”(roughly “The best”) is a very friendly and outgoing person, though somewhat airy and rather forward.
