Kruul and his partner Squillic were the Green Lanterns of Space Sector 2551. Guy Gardner chose Kruul for his search and destroy team after learning of the Lanterns past admonishments for excessive force. Kruul was killed by the monster Gigorr, who swallowed him whole so that it could slowly feed off of the energy from the Lantern’s ring. Kruul was spared further pain when Gigorr was destroyed by Guy Gardner and the Lantern Theodoric.
