Kyle Barnes

Origin

Throughout his adolescent life, Kyle Barnes was terrorized by his mother, Sarah Barnes, who was possessed by a demon. One day, Kyle had enough of the torments and fought back. His touch hurt her and after a violent fight, the demon left her body. Finally free after years, Sarah went into a comatose state. Kyle Barnes was put into foster care, where he was adopted by the Holt family.

Kyle was protective of his adoptive sister Megan Holt when he discovered she was molested by another foster boy named Donnie. Kyle slept on the floor of Megan’s bedroom to stop Donnie. Instead of molesting Megan, Kyle took a beating everytime Donnie came by. Kyle was one of few kids that were actually adopted by Megan’s parents.

As an adult, Kyle became very reclusive. On one of his sporadic trips to a store, he was approached by Reverend Anderson (whom he had met when Kyle’s mother was possessed). Anderson asked him to go with him on his missions of exorcism. Together they try to discover the truth about the possessions and Kyle’s role in them.
