Kyras Shakati is a powerful and influential Lord of the Commercial Guilds of the Spartoi Empire and beyond.
Shakati has had influence with the Shi’ar and the Kree, arranging for the failure of a union between the Shi’ar and the Spartoi, although seemingly allying himself with Ronan. His greed is his only motivation, and holds no loyalty to any but himself.
Shakati would later arrange the killing of Emperor Jason of Spartoi’s family by allying himself with the emperors Uncle Gareth, who wished to assume power over the empire. Shakati would also help Gareth destroy and enslave worlds with the Ariguans in order to fund Gareth’s coup d’état.
Kyras would be killed by Sandy when Shakati was preparing to launch a secret attack on Starlord while pretending peace.
