Origin
Lance Bannon was a fellow photographer of Peter Parker’s at both the Daily Bugle and the Daily Globe. He soon became a prominent face in the journalistic world.
Creation
Lance Bannon was created by Dennis O’Neil and John Romita and first appeared in The Amazing Spider-Man #208 (1980).

Rivalry
Competion was fierce between the two, escalated by Lance taking pictures of Spider-Man in a bad light, which their boss, J.Jonah Jameson, eagerly paid for. Lance’s fiancee, Amy Powell, flirted with Peter Parker in order to make Lance jealous.
Death
Lance died under mysterious circumstances, when he accidently stumbled upon the super-villain known as F.A.C.A.D.E.. while the latter was changing into his secret identity. Lance photographed the villain, whith his real face visible, and fled. While developing the photo’s, Lance was attacked and killed by the unidentified wearer of the F.A.C.A.D.E. armor.
