Lancel Lannister

Origin

Lancel is the eldest son of Kevan Lannister and Dorna Swyft. A young, strong, and handsome blond youth, he is said to resemble his cousin Jaime strongly, though Tyrion believes that he is a weak copy at best. He is sixteen years old.

Creation

The “Game of Thrones” series has been adapted from the book of the same name, part of the series “A Song of Ice and Fire, written by George R.R. Martin. Lancel Lannister first appeared in Game of Thrones #9.

Current Events

Lancel was made King Robert‘s squire at the request of Queen Cersei, along with his cousin Tyrek. Robert believes him to be an incompetent idiot and easily fools him into performing menial tasks. While on a hunt in the kingswood, Robert is gravely injured by a boar, after Lancel provided a large amount of strongwine for him.
