Lars and his “brother” Tomas started The Blood Brothers, a great great grandfather of the CIA. There mission is to take down evil doers the world over.

Lars was created by Joe Kelly for his run on Justice League Elite.

Lars and his “brother” Tomas, believe to have employed Deathstroke, who is truly Sister Superior, and Kasumi, who is Cassandra Cain, under deep cover, to help them take down Sundeath, the man responsable for the deaths of over 900 people. The Blood Brothers also employ the help of Wolfwood to go into Changsha and get Sundeath.
While on the mission, Vera and Kasumi break cover and Kasumi attacks Lars. Lars seems to get the upper hand but then Menagerie steps in and uses her acid blood to burn off one of Lars’s hands, crippling the man. Later when the rest of the League shows up Lars is taken into custody.
