Origin
Laura Matsuda is a Brazilian fighter, who was taught a family specialized style of martial arts referred to as Matsuda Jiu-Jitsu by her grandfather. The style which closely resembles Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu was also taught to her young brother Sean Matsuda. Laura is free spirited and friendly despite her main occupation and hobby, but is also proud of her families fighting style, and so wishes to promote and showcase it to the world and other fighters.
A part of his family practices Capoeira, they are: Pedro da Silva (uncle), Enzo and Manuela da Silva (cousins).
Creation
Laura Matsuda was created by Capcom, first appearing in its juggernaut video game franchise Street Fighter, specifically 2016’s Street Fighter V.
Character Development
Laura is mostly characterized by her Brazilian nationality and pride in Matsuda Jiu-Jitsu. As a new character, she received a lot of attention and focus alongside other new characters Necalli, Rashid and F.A.N.G. She is adorned in Brazilian colored gear.
