Laura Barton

Origin

Laura was Clint Barton (Hawkeye)’s girlfriend and later wife. The two of them had two children not much later.

Creation

Laura Barton was created by Mark Miller and Bryan Hitch and first appeared in The Ultimates 2 issue 2 (2005). She has solely appeared in the alternate reality 1610, known as the Ultimate Universe.

Major Story Arcs

Death

As part of Loki‘s plot to undermine the Ultimates and tear the team apart from the inside, Laura and the kids were shot and killed by Black Widow whom turned out to be a traitor whom worked for the Liberators.

Though Hawkeye later avenged her by sending an arrow through the Black Widow’s skull, Laura’s death affected him greatly, causing him to fall into a depressed state and don a new, edgier persona.

Avengers: Age of Ultron (2015)

In the Avengers: Age of Ultron film, Clint Barton reveals that he owns his own farm land, and that he is married to a woman named Laura. They have two children, and a third on the way.

Laura is played by Linda Cardellini.
