Loop Logan of the French 40th Pursuit Squadron was sent out by his commanding officer (possibly Major Leroux) to find a dispatch plane that did not arrive on schedule. Logan finds the plane shot down behind enemy lines. Loop lands to discover a fatally injured Lieutenant Roget. Roget hands off the message to Loop before expiring.
