Lili Ardat

Lili Ardat, the Demoness, Lucifer’s right hand, and one of the fallen angels cast out of Heaven after losing their war against those that stood with the divine and humanity. With a strong yearning to return home, though still maintaining a heavy dislike for humankind, Lili eventually rebels against the devil, and embarks on a quest to earn her way back into Heaven. Which is proving to be a long and rocky road for her, replete with a lot of blood, death and chaos…having a hard time understanding humanity, forgiveness, and the true nature of the “divine”.

Chapter 1: Revival

This chapter shows Lili’s search for an artifact that can destroy all of creation, the Tears of the Father, and shows her rebellion against Lucifer, denying him this powerful weapon. She has decided that she doesn’t want to see all of reality destroyed and simply wants to return home. She shatters the jewel and escapes Hell with the pieces. Arriving on Earth, Lili is weakened, and approaches two bikers. Having intercourse with them, she drains their life force, killing them and recharging her powers.

She eventually makes her way to an abandoned church, breaks in, and finds armor hidden in an altar. After dressing in the armor, she attempts to pray, but is attacked by the angel, Susurri. After a brief discussion, Lili removes a sword hidden in the altar, and proceeds to battle the angel, who wants Lili to leave the Earth plane and head back to Hell. Lili attacks Susurri, gets knocked down with a kick, and then remembers the shattered pieces of the tears. She attaches these pieces to her sword and armor, then pulls a three pronged trident from the altar as well, and goes back to attack her angelic foe. Susurri still proves to be too much for Lili, though suffers a cut from Lili’s blade and is shocked when it doesn’t heal. Realizing what the jewels on Lili’s sword and armor are, she demands Lili hand them over, and beats Lili down in a flurry of attacks. Before a death blow is struck, Lili manages to toss Susurri off of her, and flees, yelling behind her to her foe, “Tell him I am sorry.”

Lili manages to fly a good distance away before she crashes into ground, weak from the battle and her wounds. The last thing she sees before she passes out is a figure reaching down to her saying to be still and that it will all be okay.

Chapter 2: Means of Grace

Lili awakens in a strange bed and room, and finds that she cannot exit the room due to a mystical barrier. We are introduced to Grace who is just waking up. Lili demands to be freed and Grace refuses, being wary of her new guest. Grace introduces herself to Lili, who then proclaims to know who Grace is, being able to tell everything about her from looking into her eyes, even knowing the moment of her death. Lili demands to be freed again, throws a tantrum, and then gives Grace the silent treatment. Grace leaves for work telling Lili there are clothes in the closet if she would like to get dressed.

Later that night, Grace closes up her shop and returns home. Some crooks it seemed followed her home, and snuck into her apartment as she showered. Getting out of the shower, they grab her, threaten her and knock her out. One of the robbers proceeds to tie Grace up and intones that he may do a few things to her, when they notice Lili looking at them from the room. Lili is having a bit of an internal conflict on whether or not to get involved, not entirely caring for humans. The other robber enters the room, telling Lili he hopes she likes it rough…and gets beaten down by Lili off panel. She drops his most likely lifeless body for his partner to see, and manages to exit the room (presumably the bag with the items that made the barrier possible which was hanging above her door was somehow knocked loose in their scuffle), and approaches the other robber, who manages to let out a scream. It is unknown what actually happens to them, but knowing Lili’s modus operandi, one can assume she also killed the second robber and then disposed of the bodies.

Grace awakens with Lili watching TV, and is grateful that Lili saved her. She hugs Lili who just wants to watch TV, and offers to take Lili out for food. Lili is somewhat reluctant, but goes along with Grace. Walking down the street, they notice a bunch of gang members beating a helpless dog they have strung up. This angers Lili, who then proceeds to kill the gang members. When she goes to kill the final gang member, Grace jumps in the way and displays some of her magic power by creating some sort of magical shield that deflects Lili’s attack. This turn of events confuses Lili, and with some convincing from Grace, she lets the last gang member go, who was little more than a kid/teen. Lili then heals the dog, and explains the closeness of dogs to God, hugs the revived pooch in a rare display of true caring, and asks the dog to tell “him” that she is sorry.

They find a bag that one of the gang members had dropped, and looking through it, Lili finds clues that lead her to believe a very old foe of hers was in the city. They later head to a club the clues lead them to, and she sees the name of her foe in-scripted on the building in Chinese characters/script. They get past the bouncers and enter the club, where Grace parts from Lili to go dancing. A well dressed man in the bar hits on Lili, who shows that while she saved Grace and spared a kid at her urging, she still isn’t fully on board with caring for humanity. She takes the man to the bathroom and drains his lifeforce through intercourse, killing him. Exiting the bathroom, she sees her old foe, Ozaki, on a balcony with armed men looking at Lili. She orders her men to shoot Lili, who phases, and the bullets pass through her towards the crowd, which scatters.

Through a short exchange with Ozaki, Lili learns that a price has been placed on her head by someone named Angelo. Ozaki aims to take Lili to Angelo, and Lili learns that more time has passed than she originally knew when she passed from Hell to Earth. Lili tosses a dagger at Ozaki, who swiftly grabs one of her own men to use as a shield. She the freezes the man into solid ice with a kiss, and tosses the body at Lili, who dodges the projectile and watches the body shatter. Ozaki then draws her blade and takes the fight to an unarmed Lili, who proclaims that Ozaki has never beaten her, and never will.

Powers and Equipment

Lili’s powers vary depending on what plane of reality she is on. So far on the Earth plane, she has exhibited powers of: Telekinesis, enhanced speed, enhanced strength, a speedy healing factor, and she is able to turn herself into a mist.

As for equipment, she wields a blade with shattered pieces of the “Tears of the Father” attached to it, which seems to allow the blade to negate healing factors. Beyond that, she has armor (unknown if there are special properties to it), throwing blades, and a special three bladed lance (unknown if there are special properties to it either).
