Dick Grayson met Liu and Metal Eddie after a falling out with Batman at age 17. As Robin, he wanted more independence and respect from Batman. Dick soon became involved with Liu. It turned out that she was really involved with Metal Eddie, who was prepping the youth he took in to perform acts of crime against corporate America. Liu went to bed with Dick in order to use his connection to Bruce Wayne so that they would have access to Waynetech. This betrayal had a major affect on Dick and his love life for years afterwards.
Liu and Eddie have both recently resurfaced in Dick’s life. Despite his urges to give in to Liu, Dick has strong suspicions.
