At the time of the French-Indian Wars in the 1750s, Quoquia is the best tracker and hunter of a tribe of Huron that wishes to live in peace and refuse to help a French officer who comes looking to recruit them. Â
The officer having left angry Quoquia to the Spirit Place to ask his Gods how he can best serve his people, there he is given a warning by a dark wind god to return to his people, who are in danger.Â
As he is being told this the French officer, who has enlisted the aid of five other tribes, wipes out Quoquia’s tribe. Â
Returning he finds everyone men, women, children, and even the animals slaughtered. Save for a lone wolf cub that had been taken in by his fiancée Moon-Flower and survives by hiding under her.Â
Swearing vengeance, Quoquia drops his name and calling himself Lone Wolf, takes the wolf cub with him on the trail of vengeance.Â
Â
Soon the pair, with the aid of the Dark Wind God, will be a feared legend among both the tribes that took part in the destruction of his tribe, and the French.Â
