History
After numerous unexplained events that have crossed the desk of Internal Affairs, Lt. Phipps took over investigating Homicide Detective Sara Pezzini’s colorful past. During the course of his investigation he finds a detailed journal written by her former partner Jake McCarthy.
His journel gave a detailed history of all the things he had uncovered about his partner and the Witchblade. Fascinated, Lt. Phippsthen pushes forward in his investigation to find the truth for himself.
During an altercation with a giant supernatural creature, Phipps is mortally wounded but Sara manages to save his life. Despite doing the right thing, Phipps gives Sara a choice. Give up her career or give up the Witchblade.
Sara resigns from the NYPD.
