He is the reason why Lightning McQueen ended up in Radiator Springs. Â Mack was so tired while driving to California that he began to fall asleep while driving along the freeway. Â He didn’t realise that Lightning had rolled out the back of his trailer.Â

Mack later became Lightning’s one-man Pit Crew, until Doc, mater & the rest of the gang from Radiator Springs joined him mid-way through the race.
