Originally from New Jersey, Madame Scarpignato established herself as the most powerful magic-user in the Greater Hoboken Area. At some point she discovered the House of Mystery.
Creation
Madame Scarpignato was created by Lilah Sturges and Luca Rossi. She made her first appearance in House of Mystery Halloween Annual #2.

Drinking at the House of Mystery on Halloween, Madame Scarpignato is approached to help free four children of a curse. Before she can complete the spell, she is killed by Bobby, who is happy to remain cursed.
