Madeleine Giovanni is a member of the Giovanni Clan/Family. She is often referred to the Hand of the Giovanni. She is an enforcer and assassin for the Clan. Her father Daniel was slain by Don Caravelli whom she killed along with Don Nicko Lazzari. They were the Chief and his second of a Mafia Family.

Pietro Giovanni is her grandfather and her Sire, meaning he is the one to make her a vampire. Most of her Clan is unaware they are a part of a more powerful Vampire Clan but many have been brought in and changed to Ghouls(those who drink Vampire Blood) or have become progeny of the Vampiric Giovanni.

Her origin is touched upon in her first appearance in the Masque of the Red Death series. She is very loyal and serves her family out of what she sees as love and respect, although even her grandfather cannot see the sense of it, but she is a very talented vampire and he puts up with her abrasive attitude toward those who work only for money with her clan whom she often dispatches when they prove themselves worthless.

With the loss of her father she has a soft spot for children who are orphaned and helps them often.

Madeleine is described as having dark black long hair with blood red lips and pale white skin.

She was taught by Caesar Giovanni in Paris to become and expert with Knives.

POWERS

She has exhibited many powers not common to her clan. She can telepathically command other by thought. Has the ability to Move through solid objects and disarm traps of magic, electronic or other nature. She has changed to Mist and moved with almost stealth like invisibility as well as control her body temperature so as not to be seen on thermal devices or identified by traps. She can Track and Sense Vampire bloodlines, generational status, and even a telelocational like power to know if they are close. Perhaps even the ability to recognize who they are visually by tasting their blood. The later is most likely blood magic. Most of her clan does dabble in magic, although usually Necromancy it’s not a far stretch to thing she could learn this from them.
