Origin
Not much is known of Mag’s past, except that she was born in the Void and is considered to be one of the first female frames created by the Orokin executor Ballas during his experiments on the Infestation.
Creation
Mag was created by Digital Extremes and made her first appearance in Warframe as one of the three starter frames. She later got her first comic book appearance in WARFRAME: Ghouls by Matt Hawkins and Ryan Cady in 2017.
Major Story Arcs
WARFRAME: Ghouls
After Excalibur’s long battle with Captain Vor and his Grineer army in Ostron, he ends up getting captured. The Lotus seeks Mag’s assistance and she is asked to go to Earth and find the Tenno, investigate the Grineer and eliminate Captain Vor. Upon arrival, Mag sees that Little Duck and the blind Ostron girl are surronded by Captain Vor and Grineer soldiers. She quickly launches herself off from her orbiter and joins the battle. With her magnetic force and the help of her friends, the battle had turned, prompting the opposing threat to retreat.
Mag and her friends then decide to head towards the north side of the village, where they stumble upon the caverns, where lies the Orokin Vault. They enter and are met with Grineer troops once again. Mag and Little Duck swiftly takes care of the threat. Entering the Vault, Lotus scans the surrounding area and notices that there is an artifact, the Arogya Medica and tries to explain to Mag and the rest what it is. But, her transmission is cut short and the newcomers are found with Infested beasts charging towards them.
Succeeding in defeating the Infested, the Ostron girl is found weakened by poison from the Ghoul. Mag and Little Duck hurries to find the Medica to save the blind girl whilst defending themselves. Upon arrival at the Medica, Mag uses it and activates it to save the girl. Moments later, Mag and Little Duck finds the Ostron girl no longer blind and cured of Ghoul poison. Making their way out of the portal, they are met with Vor and his troops yet again. They quickly take care of the threat and they head through the portal making it back to the caverns.
Out of the Vault, they try to get Excalibur to safety. As Little Duck pulls the void key from the portal, Vor manages to push through in time to shoot her and temporarily knock her out. Mag is hit too and are almost met with death. Excalibur sneaks up from behind restraining Vor while Mag sends him flying back into the portal with her magnetic force. Having now defeated Captain Vor and saved the Ostron girl, Mag had finally earned her rest and flew off with her orbiter.
