Magala

“I am Magala. I am the Keeper of Souls. You were determined soul.. I’ve never seen the well illuminate like that before!” — Magala.

Magala, the caretaker of the Well of Souls, came from it herself.

She lived her life secluded from the rest of the Amazons, choosing to instead take care of the souls who have yet to emerge from the well.

Magala had developed quite the collection of discarded items and trinkets forgotten a long time ago. Thanks to Princess Diana, over the years she had collected more from Man’s World.

She was an amazon sorceress, who at the behest of Hippolyta, cast a spell on Wonder Woman so that half of her power to the amazon Artemis. This was so Artemis would win the contest and become the new Wonder Woman. Magala also cast the spell that created Donna Troy out of the reflection of Diana.

Magala was created during John Byrne‘s run on Wonder Woman.
