Maiden Amerika

Maiden America was first introduced in a two-part short story in a one shot magazine called ‘Gritz-N-Gravy’ in 2001. Later revised in Action Bunny Comix #2.

Siobahn O’Banyon lived in a fractured America. In the year 205X, the various foreign nations paid politicians and bought portions of America, causing the division of the country. Self-sufficient city-states were re-established, while the Arab states established Sharia laws, Other nations brought their ideologies to the land, creating chaos and fear.

The Daughter of an Irish brew master, a young Siobahn O’Banyon had entered a tween talent contest, which was a cleverly disguised sex slave ring. Her feisty attitude eventually had her sold to an outpost scientist, where she stumbled upon his discovery of a new energy source (Promaethion-5). The unstable energies destroyed the lab, but Siobahn miraculously survived and quickly exhibited strange powers. She soon joined a traveling caravan/circus and secretly began her mission to free victims of the slave trade. Her exploits were noticed by a secret group of freedom fighters, funded by ‘Old Money’. Intrigued by their proposition, Siobahn agreed to become a symbol to unite the fractured country, and in using her powers, fight against those who would keep America divided and chaotic. Backed by a growing army called The Sons Of Liberty, Siobahn O’Banyon became Maiden Amerika.
