Transformed into a being that is half human/ half shark, Drumm took the name Mako. After his release Drumm again took up a life of crime. Drumm became one of the more ambitious members of the Vicious Circle. The upstart group with the help of Mako brutally attacked and maimed superhero, Superpatriot.
