Mammon is an entity made of pure energy that was discovered Roxxon industries during an oil dig. Due to its ability to generate vast amounts of energy David Walsh thought he could use it as an energy source. To survive Mammon required host bodies that it drained killing the person in the process. Mammon was defeated by the Scarlet Spider with help from the Rangers when he lured the creature into a large vat of oil when he realized that’s what had kept the creature trapped.
