A dream version of the old myth conjured up as Charlie McCarthy slept after a failed homemade rocket launch. And, like all people born on the moon, the Man In the Moon was born as an old man and is gradually turning younger and younger.

Major Story Arcs
Just as Charlie and Mortimer Snerd are about to be eaten by space-traveling cannibals, the Man In the Moon shoots his pistol and scares the eaters away. He then takes the boys to his secret hideout, which the cannibals observe. The Man In the Moon is then saved by some trickery of Charlie’s, he helps them return to Earth by supplying the boys with a magic carpet.
