Mapone’s mother is likely Natalya Romanova, the Black Widow, given her surname and the fact that the Widow and Daredevil have been romantically involved in the past. She inherited her father’s blindness and, apparently, the superhuman sensory abilities that come with it.
Her identity was the secret at the heart of the Daredevil: End of Days mini-series.

Mapone was created by Brian Michael Bendis and David Mack. She made her first on-panel appearance in Daredevil: End of Days #8.
