Hearing of Vic Sages ability as a fighter, Marco found him in battle and helped him to victory after Vic got stabbed. FHe then went with Vic back to Hub City to help him recover and got shot during this time.  They both prowled the streets of Hub City, trying to keep them safe for ordinary people to walk about till they were both healed enough to have their personal fight.  When the time came, they found they were about equal in the art of combat.
