Marella Tao is a young reporter for “Metropolis Tonite”, a news program specializing in holo-video reports. She’s the youngest reporter to ever receive the Metropolis Reporters’ League “Sniffer Award” for her investigative skills. She’d been doing an in-depth report on the Legion of Super-Heroes before Universo’s machinations had the team disbanded. Marella reinstated her report after the hypnotic villain had been defeated. During that time she began dating Legionnaire Timber Wolf.Â

Post-Infinite Crisis, Marella reappeared as a reporter during the new Legion of Super-Villains rampage on Earth, led by Superboy-Prime. It is believed that she is no longer seeing Timber Wolf, as he has rekindled his former relationship with Lightning Lass.Â
