Maria Rodriguez is an Archie supporting character introduced in the 1970s. She was originally the daughter of the new vice-principal of Riverdale High School but her father was soon forgotten. She was then cast as the love interest of Frankie Valdez and a friend to Betty and Veronica. She acts as the manager of Frankie.She is mostly seen being jealous of the girls the Frankie attracts.Especially Brigitte
