History
Marion Henderson had the ability to change size, but due to her severe inferiority complex, it caused her to shrink only and not able to control the process from stopping or reverting. Desperate to halt the process before she disappeared altogether, she delved into studies of meditation and yoga hoping to master her own bodys actions trough willpower and dicipline. While Marion was eventually able to stop shrinking, she never regained her former stature. But her intense studies, however, unlocked a new ability to hypnotize those around her and brainwash them into doing her bidding. With her newfound abilities and smaller than a ruler in height she took on the name of Marrionette, Marion embarked upon a life of crime, and later joined the Crushers.
Once a member she quickly became Mockers second in command, able to take reigns of the other strong willed and aggressive villains with a strong fist. Controlling numerous people and than liberating Mockers computer head she led his plans and took over the Crusaders Citadel, the Crushers arch enemies and the leading hero team of Indianapolis. Occupying the Crusaders base and implementing plans to reprogram Teacher the computer at the base to launch the Crusaders mini-shuttle into orbit, thereby controlling defense satellites and taking over the country.
However the Crusaders newest recruits teamed up with a few Crusaders and attacked their base, freed the other captive teammates and defeated the Crushers. Marionette herself was found by Condor and Shatterman who tossed the diminutive villainess into one of their own cryogenic units putting her to sleep for the time being.
Powers and Abilities
Marionette’s warped size changing powers have trapped her permanently at a height of 10 1/2 inches tall. She is sensitive to comments about her height, and will lash out at anyone thus making fun of her.
Her studies in eastern philosophies imbued her with the ability to hypnotize people and manipulate them. She also learned several martial arts, and can be a surprisingly capable foe in combat.
