Origin
The Marshall began as a preacher but hit some fairly rough times with his followers. Rumor has it that he killed a woman and her son for their constant tardiness to church; he killed two other women for dancing too provocatively; he supposedly burned his wife and son for her leaving him for another woman. The Marshall gets kicked out of the church thanks to Whisky Jill and begins to hunt her to bring her to a proper reckoning.

The Marshall’s quest to find Whisky Jill takes him to the town of Deliverance. He enters a bar in which he is told a major scuffle took place. He sees an overcoat and demands to know how left it. The barkeep informs him of a girl with very little clothing on who cleared out his bar. The Marshall demands to know which way she went (East) and then storms out after her.
He finds her resting in a remote house. He fires a shot at her from his sniper rifle but misses. He takes aim in case she shows herself in the wrong window. Unbeknownst to the Marshall, however, is that Jill has flour dust fill the house. The Marshall is unable to tell that the person he aims at in the house is really a posse member. With another shot, the house explodes. The Marshall walks away in full confidence that he has bested Whisky Jill.
The Marshall later finds Colonel Hawkins passed out in the desert and the two men begin to travel together. They come to a camp and find three men dead. The Marshall can tell Jill has been through the area and the men move on to Saltwater, Jill’s hometown. Once they get there, the Marshall tells the Colonel to stay outside the town. He then walks in alone.
The Marshall enters a bar and demands to know where Jill is. A man brashly states that only men presently occupy the bar. The Marshall grabs an ax from the wall and hacks the man’s table in two. He then pulls a gun and almost shoots the man before another pipes up that Jill had left some hours before. The Marshall then takes the ax to the floor and pulls Rod out. He drags the boy down the street and puts a gun to his head to draw Jill out of a house. He threatens to shoot Rod is Jill isn’t out of the house by the count of three. She exits the house and he is disappointed that seems to be using a newly born baby as a shield. He is shocked to see Jill throw the baby into the air, but snaps out of it when his pistol is whipped from his hand. He accidentally lets Rod go but decides to pursue Jill into the mountains.
In the mountains, the Marshall finds a pirate ship and walks through it. He hears steps and rushes out but finds nothing. He tries to pursue Jill through a ravine and follows her taunting words. He trips a trap and a canon fires at him, nearly hitting him. He picks up his gear and presses on. He exits the ravine at the base of a rock formation and demands Jill to show herself. He turns and sees Jill sliding down the rock formation on her surfboard. She slams into him and then tries to whip him but he is able to wrest the whip away from her before landing a punch. He stands over her victoriously and takes aim with his rifle. As he shoots, however, an arrow hits his rifle and his shot goes astray. The bullet ricochets off the mountains and hits a giant boulder that crashes down on the Marshall.
The Marshall somehow survives and continues his pursuit of Jill. He finds her camp and kidnaps Rob to trap her. It works and the Marshall overpowers her. He affixes her to her surfboard in a gulch that looks a lot like a crucifixion. He demands that Jill accept Jesus. Rain begins to fall and a huge wave floods the gulch, drowning the Marshall.
