Martin Mystère is the third longest title of Sergio Bonelli Editore, Italian leading comic publisher, running from 1982. It is also one of the few Bonelli comics with a loose continuity across the episodes and with some connections to other titles of the publisher, especially with Zagor and Nathan Never.

In 2003 it was produced a a Franco-Canadian animated television series by the French company Marathon Group and co-produced by Canal J, M6, RAI Fiction and YTV. The series is loosely inspired by the comic Martin Mystère created by Alfredo Castelli and Giancarlo Alessandrini, although this series present a much more light-hearted tone than the original comic book, considering the younger target to which it is addressed.
