Maxwell Fisher led a search party to Pago Island to investigate what he thought was a cold case murder of Dan Garrett a.k.a the first Blue Beetle. When he got there his team was killed by a Robot named Carapax. Fisher survived and was saved by Ted Kord, the second Blue Beetle.
