The Bluff
Sent to capture the runaway psychics Maya comes across Kakeru and challenges him to battle to the death using psychic powers. Kakeru not knowing he has any powers bluffs and threatens her with his awesome super powerful psychic abilities. Creating zombie illusions Kakeru is on the fence as she has had enough and wants to really battle. Allowing her illusions to trick his brain into thinking he is really being hurt. Then, a freak accident happens and pet store’s aquarium breaks flowing into the street and breaking Maya’s concentration. Allowing Kakeru to escape.
Change of heart
Fast forward to volume 4 where Maya starts to have a crush on Kakeru and joins him in fighting Greenhouse along with his psychic friends.
