After the death of Mayor Frank Scanlon, Gedder was placed in office as mayor of Century City. After a scandal, Gedder asked it’s perpetrator Kent Palmer to resign from office to defuse the situation. Palmer was not happy with the situation, and hired a killer named Jenson to have the mayor killed. Jenson gunned down the mayor dressed as the Green Hornet, the perfect scapegoat for Palmer to gain power in Century City.
