Mel has unfortunately created quite a stir in recent years. First he left his wife of many years for a younger woman. Then he was stopped by the police late one night, apparently on suspicion of driving under the influence. Rumor has it that Mel got most upset and went on an anti-Semitic rant. Finally he got into some kind of an altercation in 2010 with the woman that he left his ex-wife for and so his troubles just seem to go on and on…. Perhaps Mel is trying to make amends for his anti-Semitic rant, as it seems that he plans to do a Jewish historical film.
