Origin
Mesh is a baby who along with Admira travel the world looking for help. They find Kur and the Death Dealer. This leads to Mesh’s death and the start of a great war.
Creation
Mesh was created by Mitch Iverson and Stefano Martino for their 2022 series Frank Frazetta’s Death Dealer.
Major Story Arcs
Book One
Admira and Mesh are traveling the countryside when they are attacked by a pack of wolves. Admira’s screams are enough to bring the aide of Kur. Kur is able to scare off the wolves and Admira pleads with him to help her and the baby find a place to hide from the storm. Kur refuses but then when Mesh coos something inside Kur changes and he agrees.
Back at Kur’s cave, Mesh smiles at Kur and the warrior sees something in the baby’s eyes that softens his tough exterior. Then later that night Mesh and Admira are kidnapped by Pestilence and his army of undead. This causes Kur to demand revenge, leave his cave and attempt to rescue Mesh.
When Kur finally finds Mesh, he is forced to release the Death Dealer and berezk out on Pestilence’s army. This act ends with the death of Mesh at the hands of the Death Dealer. Then it is revealed that Admira had been playing him and she was working with Pestilence and his evil master to bring a demon into Kur’s world. The final piece of the ritual was the death of an innocent by the hands of the Death Dealer, and Mesh had played that part.
