Three weeks before the Battle of Yavin, Mia Ikova greeted Princess Leia when she visited the planet Kattada. While searching though trash the two were captured by Imperials.
Mia was shot by Commander Karg and his accompanying Stormtroopers. Before dying from her injuries she reminded a grieving Princess Leia about the importance of her mission.
