Major Story Arcs
Michael meets Kay Brandon on a blind date and the two start dating. In the few days that they date he is offered a job in South America. The next time he takes Kay out he wants to tell her the great news. He is interrupted, however, by Roy Wakefield, Kay’s old boyfriend/current fiance. To avoid a scene, Michael takes Kay out for a drive. He announces the job and is disappointed that Kay doesn’t seem very enthusiastic. He explains that he will only take the job if she marries him. He is further shocked that she doesn’t immediately say yes. He kisses her in hopes of winning her over but she finally refuses his offer. He gets so mad that he drives their car off a bridge. Neither are serioiusly hurt, but Michael doesn’t see Kay anymore. (She goes off and marries Roy after all.)
