Mike Smith is described as the “quarterback” of the Meta Legion, operating under the title Marine Omega he leads the team of superhero’s and takes his orders from the United States Government. He is a former United States Marine, who is advanced in years and suffers from an unknown illness requiring constant care, monitoring, and bed rest. He returns to action with the Meta Legion and is severely injured battling an attacking robot army that emerged from the East River in New York City and assaults the United Nations Building. Mike was a widower to Ruth Smith his wife of 30 years who was murdered by a shape shifting sleeper agent. She in turn murdered him while he was hospitalized after his final battle with the Legion. His Second in Command, Robert White (aka Bulldog), is sworn in as the New Marine Omega after Mikes death.
Marine Omega is Supurbia’s Captain America type character. Being the team leader and an enhanced human with a military theme.
