Mike is an agent of Heaven sent to aid Spawn. Mike later helped Spawn get through the tunnel. The tunnel led to to the domain of Satan. Spawn in order to gain access to the tunnel needed an angel and a demon. Mike served as the angel half. While the Violator fulfilled the demon half. Mike and the Violator often quarreled with each other. His original identity was The Archangel Michael stripped of his Divine powers.
