Miyu is first encountered by Haruto and Yuzuki shortly after Haruto moves into his new apartment and finds that she is his neighbour. Despite some friendly overtures on Haruto’s part, Miyu remains distant to him while she warms up to Yuzuki quickly. This is revealed to be because she has had little experience with males in the past and is quite uncomfortable with them. Nevertheless, as she gets to know the couple better she becomes more comfortable with Haruto and other men in general.
Miyu is somewhat scatterbrained and emotional, often misinterpreting information, and is easily moved to tears. Her mind often wanders towards the gutter, and many of her mistakes tend to involve her thinking something is dirtier than it is.
