History
Monan was one of Randac’s chief scientists during his reign and knew of the formula to create terrigen crystals. Monan is a distant relative of Lineage; this meant while Lineage was alive he was trapped within Lineage’s body for the Inhuman to be available whenever he required information.
Inhumans vs. X-Men
Maximus ordered Lineage to use his ability to pull Monan out so that he could speak with him. Lineage obliged, and Maximus acquired Monan’s information regarding the formula to craft terrigen crystals. Once said information was relayed Maximus stabbed the manifestation of Monan with a fork freeing him from Lineage’s grasp ensuring that he was the only one with the information and the only one who could stop the Inhuman and Mutant conflict.
