Morley

Biography

Morley is an Anacondan, a sentient snake species who lives on the volcanic world of Lothos Minor, when Savage Opress came to Lothos Minor in search of his brother, Darth Maul, he encountered Morley who guided him to the cavern in which Darth Maul dwelled, it was revealed Morley ate the remains of those Darth Maul killed and he led Savage to Maul in hopes of making a meal out of Savage’s remains.

Depending on if you go by the novel The Wrath of Darth Maul or the animated series Star Wars The Clone Wars Morley died in two different manners, at the hands of both Nightbrothers…

In the Wrath of Darth Maul: Offended by Morley intruding in his lair, Darth Maul crushes Morley to death with his cybernetic leg, stating that he should have kept his distance.

In Star Wars The Clone Wars, Morley double-crosses Savage Opress, believing Maul would kill him, but when Morley comes to feed on Savage’s corpse, he finds him alive, Savage blamed Morley for Maul’s mental condition, and in such, Savage kills Morley, strangling him to death then throwing his body into a pit of lava.

Powers/Characteristics

As an Anacondan, Morley is a member of an intelligent, though technologically inept species (due to their lack of ability to construct objects because they have no hands to do so) he is quite deceptively strong, and can easily crush someone to death if he coils around them, an action done to living prey for the purposes of consumption. In Morley’s case however he prefers consuming already dead creatures rather then kill for himself, which is why he leads others to Maul’s lair. He is quite manipulative, and a talented liar as well. His species has a tolerance for extreme heat, and thus he is quite comfortable on Lothos Minor.
