Mr. Clerkly is an office clerk working for Scrooge McDuck, on occasion identified as his chief accountant. He keeps Scrooge informed about the state of his business affairs and maintains track of Scrooge’s schedule. At time he is depicted as taking charge of the office when Scrooge is absent. His role is largely the same as that of Emily Quackfaster, Scrooge’s chief secretary.
