Mr. Sykes used to work for Don Edward Lino. He got fired for saying that Lenny isn’t exactly a killer shark. As a result, he became a loan shark for Lino. He gave Oscar 5,000 clams to pay him by the racetrack tomorrow. Oscar bet the clams to Lucky Day winning the seahorse race, infuriating Sykes. As Lucky Day lost to Fish Fingers, Sykes told Ernie and Bernie to put Oscar at an unknown part of the ocean. Sykes decided to be Oscar’s working partner after hearing that Oscar is a Sharkslayer.
