Origin
While pitching his tatty tent somewhere in Arabia, young and poor Mustapha unwittingly struck oil, making his camel-train driving father and himself immensely wealthy. Wanting his son to have the best education, Mustapha’s father sent Mustapha to England to study under a range of tutors, but, though surrounded by servants and able to purchase whatever extravagent toys he desired for his new mansion home, Mustapha found himself lonely, so he began using his wealth to make new friends, impressing the local children with his generosity and helping out those in need.
Creation
Created by Reg Parlett for Cheeky, Mustapha Mi££ion’s strip ran the entire duration of that title and survived when Cheeky merged into Whoopee!
