Mutalien was part of a reserve team of X-Statix, who fought for a place in the main team to replace the recently deceased U-Go Girl. He however lost when the crazed Corkscrew kicked him in the face.
Powers
Given his appearance it seems very likely that Mutalien had some form of wall clinging powers due to the suckers at the end of each of his fingers.
