Naozumi is introduced in the 3rd volume, when he does a play with Sana, whom he is in love with. Naozumi was orphaned, and suspects that he is only half-Japanese, since he has blue eyes. He has no idea who his real parents were, and he doesn’t care; he believes himself to be incredibly lucky to have been adopted and raised at the Komawari acting school.
He lives with his manager, Mr. Maeda.
His pretty face makes him a very popular child actor, and he has a lot of loyal fangirls, who even go as far as to attack Sana just for being in a movie alongside him.
Naozumi loves Sana, and is heartbroken to find that she really likes Akito. While he doesn’t try to come between them, he does confront Akito, saying to him “I’d like to know just what it is that she sees in you.” He then tells Akito not to make Sana cry– or else.
He plays the trumpet, though he’s not very good at it. It’s mostly just an outlet for his emotions.
