Ne-Ahn was the chief of the Bear People. He was exiled from the tribe for marrying a woman from the Horse Tribe. His wife gave him two sons before her death: Anthro and Lart. Soon after, Ne-Ahn married another woman, Emba, and took her and her mother into his family. The five of them lived as nomads, living out of caves and hunting off the lands.
Eventually, Ne-Ahn and the family were welcomed back into the Bear Tribe by his brother, the current Chief Do-Ahn. The Bear Tribe expanded their numbers even more when the Horse Tribe merged with the Bear Tribe after their chief, Tugg, married off his daughters to two Bear Tribe members: Grog and Ne-Ahn’s son Anthro.
