Nero Wolfe

From his luxurious New York brownstone on West 35th St, the portly Nero Wolfe tends to solve cases from the comfort of his home. While he usually prefers this approach, it’s not entirely uncommon for him to travel out of his house at times if the circumstances of a case demands it (or occurs while he’s out). He’s usually accompanied/aided by Archie Goodwin (the narrator), who usually does most of the legwork for Nero (aka: anything pertaining to a case that occurs outside Wolfe’s brownstone) as well as various tasks around the brownstone (which he himself lives in, rent-free).

Parentage Mystery

The identity of Nero’s parents has long been a mystery, and a favorite subject of various authors after Rex Stout. A popular theory/idea ties him to the Holmes family, either Sherlock himself or his brother Mycroft. Another popular theory is the Lupin family.
